Breaking News: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Sodhi, Gurucharan Singh, Quits The Show

It’s breaking now and only here. Taarak Mehta Ooltah Chashmah’s popular Sodhi, Gurucharan Singh, is no more a part of the comedy show aired on SAB TV. Read this exclusive.

SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah may now be looking for a replacement for, the jolly car mechanic Sardar, Sodhi’s character. Yes, Gurucharan Singh has walked out of the show, produced by Asit Modi.

A top source from the TV industry reveals, “Gurucharan took the call about two weeks back. He thought about it for quite some time, and only when he was certain that he didn’t want to continue this time- he went ahead and officially informed the production house, Neela Tele Films.”

Sometime back, reportedly, Gurucharan had left the show to be replaced by Laad Singh Maan- but Gutrucharan was brought back by public demand.

Any issue of pending dues? “No way,” says our source, “Asit Modi is a very clean producer. Gurucharan cited personal reasons while exiting.”

The show in question received a severe jolt when Disha Vakhani (who played the unforgettable character of Dayaben) said goodbye to it, after her delivery. However, the makers then managed to keep the TRPs going sufficiently well despite not replacing her with any other actress. It remains to be seen how Neela Tele Films and SAB TV cope up with Sodhi’s omission.

Repeated calls and text messages on Gurucharan’s phones failed to evoke an answer. But it’s official. Gurucharan is out from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
