Bollywood has lost its Soorma Bhopali

In terribly upsetting news that’s coming in, we have learnt that veteran actor, Jagdeep, has passed away. He was 81.
Father of actor Jaaved Jaaferi, Jagdeep was most famous for his iconic role Soorma Bhopali in Sholay. Well loved for his comic timing, he acted in almost 400 films, including Aar Paar, Do Bigha Zameen, Hum Panchi Ek Daal Ke, Sholay, Purana Mandir and Andaz Apna Apna. His performance as a child actor in Hum Panchi Ek Daal Ke was so loved by Jawaharlal Nehru that the then Prime Minister has gifted him his personal staff.
Syed Istiaq Ahmad Jaffari, Jagdeep, Soorma Bhopali. Whatever name you call him by, he will be missed.
