Rashami Desai recalls her beautiful moments with Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide has shocked everyone beyond words.  The actor’s close friends from the world of television,  where he started his career,  have vented on social media.  But a few like Rashami Desai have not been able to muster courage and do that. Yes,  Rashami and Sushant were very close friends.

Dil Se Dil Tak star and Bigg Boss 13 contestant Rashami Desai tells me,  “I am feeling extremely despondent.  Why had Sushant to leave so early?  What was bothering him? “

It is clear that the private person he was,  Sushant had not shared his troubles with Rashami. “Honestly,  we hadn’t communicated since the past few months. You know how it is sometimes that one loses touch for a while,  while immersed in day-to-day life.”

Reminiscing her memories,  Rashami added,  her voice choked with emotion, “Sushant and I knew each other since a long time.  We did Zara Nachke Dikha together. We danced together.”

Sushant hung himself in his home at Bandra on Sunday, June 14. The maid had to call a keymaker when the actor did not open the door despite her repeated knocks.

The funeral happened on Tuesday,  June 16. The doctors have ruled out foul play. The police is however probing the case,  thoroughly. Statements of Sushant’s close friends Rhea Chakraborty and Mahesh Shetty have been recorded and further investigation is being done.
