Esha Deol is not making an entry into the show Jag Jaanani Maa Vaishno Devi on Star Bharat. Remember you read this exclusive here first.
The shoot of Jag Jaanani Maa Vaishnodevi Kahani Mata Rani is about to begin, producer Rashami Sharma is going all out to have all precautions to safeguard her cast and crew on the sets- but fans of Puja Banerjee have been slightly disappointed since few days because Banerjee is unlikely to be seen in the post COVID-19 season of the show. Speculations were rife that Rubina Dilaik, Tejashwi Prakash, Shrenu Parikh, Niyati Fatani and Meera Deosthale are under consideration to replace Banerjee but eventually it was announced that Patiala Babes’ Paridhi Sharma will play the role.
Post that, Esha Deol was said to be replacing Toral Rasputra, who was playing the mother of Vaishno Devi. Toral was not ready to play mother to a teenager and had told TOI, “I am not disappointed, but yes, the situation should change. The makers are not looking at actors in the age group of 47-60 to play parents, they want young artistes instead. Ever since I played a mother in Balika Vadhu and Udaan I have been typecast. I have done a comedy show (Namune) and in Balika Vadhu too, my character had many shades. However, the makers don’t seem to remember that. Makers should invest in mature love stories and explore something different, rather than just offering us mother roles in mythological shows and social dramas.”
Esha was a part of a reality show few years ago and it was being said that Jag Jaanani Maa Vaishno Devi– Kahani Mata Rani Ki will mark her comeback. But no, that’s not true. And remember, you read it here first.
WE reached out to Esha this morning and her spokesperson immediately reverted, saying, “On behalf of Esha Deol Takhtani, we would like to clarify that all reports floating around media regarding her role in a serial is untrue. She is not playing any character in the serial. She is a devotee of Ma Vaishno Devi, and wishes everyone associated with the serial all the best. Currently Esha is busy reading scripts, for movies, web series and digital films and also excited with her new role as an author with her book Amma Mia published by Penguin Books. She will soon announce her film project, when the time is right.”
So, that’s that! There’s no Esha Deol in Rashami Sharma’s Jag Jaanani Maa Vaishno Devi– Kahani Mata Rani Ki. And it’s official.
