Laxmmi Bomb, Bhuj, The Bigg Bull, Sadak 2, Dil Bechara, Khuda Haafiz, Lootcase will all release on Disney Plus Hotstar, skipping a theatrical release. We are in the grip of an unprecedented pandemic and it’s time we change, it’s time we understand that watching a movie in a theatre is far away.

Akshay Kumar’s Laxmmi Bomb, Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj,  Abhishek Bachchan’s The Big Bull and Alia Bhatt’s Sadak 2 will release not in theatres but directly on OTT.  The platform in question is Disney Plus Hotstar.  

Uday Shankar, President of Walt DisneyCompany Asia Pacific and Chairman of Star and Disney India was in an online conversation with Akshay Kumar,  Ajay Devgn,  Abhishek Bachchan and Alia Bhatt where these announcements were made.

Disney Plus Hotstar will also soon showcase late Sushant Singh Rajput’s Dil Bechara, Vidyut Jamwal’s Khuda Haafiz and Kunal Kemmu’s Lootcase.

The first in the line of these films is Dil Bechara slated for July 24. 

OTT is the new multiplex, the message was clear- and in this case, it is Disney Plus Hotstar.
