Is Sadak 2 coming on OTT and not in theatres? Here’s the exclusive, real story- as on date. 

Sanjay Dutt has delivered stellar performances with various characters on screen. The actor has many exciting projects in the pipeline and one of his most awaited films is unarguably Sadak 2. 
Sadak 2 brings Mahesh Bhatt back to direction after 20 years. The film also marks his reunion on screen with Dutt, after Kartoos (1999) after which incidentally Mahesh Bhatt did not don the director’s hat. 

And then, we have the two sisters Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt in the film. Add to this Aditya Roy Kapur in his most challenging role till date and you know why curiosity killed the cat.

 Now,  the question that is on everyone’s lips regarding this project is whether Bhatts will wait it out till the theatres open or release it on OTT. Rumours have been doing the rounds that Sadak 2 might see an OTT release. 

The shoot of Sadak 2 was almost done before the ongoing lockdown was initiated and only one song is left to be shot. 

We spoke to Mukesh Bhatt (producer of Sadak 2) yesterday evening and he said, “No decision has been taken regarding the release of Sadak 2. We have a 2-day shoot to carry out before calling a wrap on it. After that,  we will get into post-production. Uske baad we will see how we are placed in terms of COVID-19 as far as the opening of theatres is concerned.” Sadak 2 is being co-produced by Vishesh Films and Fox Star Studios.

“The current word that Sadak 2 will be an OTT release is too premature.  Let the bridge come and let us cross it. The final decision will be taken only after the post-production is firmly over, ” Mukesh Bhatt concluded.
