Sushant Singh is not the General Secretary of CINTAA anymore. The man who was one of the key persons instrumental in helming and resolving payment wars in Bollywood and Tellywood industry has resigned from his post of General Secretary.

I was rather surprised when I got to know this, sometime around 6 pm today.  When contacted,  Singh said,  “Yes,  I have put in my papers.” Not too long ago, Singh anchored Savdhaan India aired on Life OK

When asked what led him to take such a big decision, Singh said that he had given it all in his 5-year tenure. Singh served as GS from 2015.

The CINTAA elections were supposed to be held in April,  but the lockdown put then at the backburner. CINTAA’S Joint  Secretary Amit Behl said,  “We all have been working from home.  We received Sushant’s resignation letter some 7-8 days ago.  We tried coaxing him to stay back, but one cannot go discussing  beyond a certain point especially  in today’s times of lockdown.”

Explained Sushant,  “Look,  I have to move on to other things in life.  I have had no complaints and in fact,  I had informed CINTAA  a few months back itself that I wouldn’t like to contest the elections this year. 5 years is a pretty long time and I have has a very satisfying stint as GS. “

Added Behl,  “We shall miss Sushant,  very much. We worked very closely together. “
